(name of unit) has just signed up to the Girlguiding UK Recycling Appeal, an exciting new fundraising programme which allows us to make money by recycling mobile phones, PDAs and used printer cartridges.

I am writing to ask if you would like to be involved in our appeal.  Taking part is easy; all we would require is that you save your used printer cartridges, mobile phones and PDAs on our behalf.  A collection box can be provided and when it is full the products will be uplifted from your premises.

As well as supporting your local community by raising funds for (name of unit), recycling can boost you company’s green credentials by helping protect the environment. Recycling mobile phones, PDAs and printer cartridges diverts these items from landfill where they can cause pollution by leaking toxic substances into the surrounding soil. When these items are donated to the appeal they are reused or recycled safely.
